Cleaning Chemicals & Sanitizing Compounds
Our Cleaning and Sanitizing Solution and powders are used by most line cleaning professionals. We supply several strencths so you can select just the right one for the job you have. For the homeowner and direct draw bar manager the green cap Beer Line Cleaner (B*L*C*) is all you need. Next is the Black Cap Lone Line Formula which will clean all long, cold line situations. The strongest is Penetrate (used for cleaning ball parks and stadiums where lines are inactive for a long time and is not intended for frequent uses but will get rid of what the long neglected lines have to offer.
All B*L*Cs and Penetrate are a solution of Potassium Hydroxide (CAS NO. 1310-58-3). B*L*C* green top is less than 10% solution and the percentage of Potassium Hydroxide in the solution increases with each product until Penetrate which is the strongest.
Some professional Line Cleaners use penetrate and reduce the amount used to make a most economical cleaning mixture but this is not recommended because if you make a mistake the solution may be too strong for your application.
B*L*C* removes encrusted beer stone, solidified beer protein and yeast from Beer Lines. Penetrate is used for all seldom used equipments such as auditoriums, grandstands, stadiums, event equipment, etc. Cleaning with Penetrate reduces surface rust, soil, hard water deposits, etc and is required for old casehardened lines.

Penetrate is our strongest single alkaline beer line cleaner and we will only sell it to professional cleaners. It has the highest concentration of potassium hydroxide in order to provide extra cleaning power for glycol-cooled and longer-run systems. We use a surfactant package in Penetrate designed for better penetration into line soils and microfissures at lower temperatures. Highly concentrated, one ounce Penetrate per gallon water for brewery approved cleaner.

Penetrate is a highly-effective cleaner and one of our strongest brands. Penetrate is ideal for very long draw, cooled and neglected or older systems.
While we believe that Penetrate is one of the best cleaners you can purchase, we don't suggest using it exclusively. We suggest rotating alkaline products every three to five months in order to prevent build-up of redeposited solids not targeted by the surfacting chemicals.

Using beer line cleaners in a wine line is like looking for a $10 bill with a metal detector... you are using the wrong tools! Just as a metal detector can't find a piece of paper, beer line cleaners won't find and remove the tannins or potassium tartrate found in wine.
W-L-C removes wine molds, yeast, tannins, residues and tartrate deposits. This keeps the bouquet, clarity, color and taste true to the vision of the vintner and pleasing to the palate. At the same time Wine Line Cleaner cleans flex-hoses, faucets, parts and lines.

B-T-F Iodophor Sanitizer
A powerful sanitizer. Reduces spotting, filming and streaking in warm or cold water (not for use in hot water.) This specially formulated liquid sanitizer is for use in the last tank and brewing sanitation. It's odorless, tasteless and is easy on the hands.
Use 1/10th ounce per gallon water for 12.5 ppm sanitizing solution. This 1 gallon container makes 1280 gallons of sanitizing solution.

| Quest Sani-Nozzle Soda Machine Cleaner
Sani_Nozzle is formulated to break down and disolve build up in soft drink machine parts and hoses. Easy and quick to use. Disolves quickly in water and contains strong cleaning agents, emulsifiers and wetting agents for efficient cleaning.
Sani-Nozzle is used at a rate of ½ ounce per quart of warm water. To use: Disassemble the soda machine and soak parts overnight. Once all evidence od residue is dissolved, remove parts and rince in clear running water. When cleaning is complete, pour remainder of cleaning solution down drain.

| PLC Powder Line Cleaner
P*L*C® Powder*Line*Cleaner is a powerful, fast dissolving, effective and economical product for cleaning beverage systems. This alkaline powder is formulated to remove naturally occurring build-ups in beverage lines, parts and fittings as well as an economical cleaner for tanks, vats, etc. used in commercial or home brewing operations.
It safely removes beer stone, protein deposits, yeast, biomass, etc. from the surface. Quickly cleans plastic, stainless steel, brass, copper, nickel, rubber, etc. without damage to lines, parts, fittings, etc. To assist in monitoring the rinsing phase after cleaning there is a food color dye to help identify the cleaning solution.
Beverage line cleaning applications should use 0.5 ounce per quart of water. Cleaning brewing equipment should use 0.5 ounce to 2.0 ounce per gallon based on soil load.

Is Sodium Hydroxide Better Than Potassium Hydroxide? Different, yes; better, it depends… Sodium hydroxide, while very strong and inexpensive, is more difficult to rinse as well as more corrosive to faucet and part finishes. Potassium hydroxide, isn't as caustic as sodium or as inexpensive, but it is easier to rinse and is not as corrosive to faucet finishes. In short, depending on application, one could be superior to the other. In beverage line cleaning, we believe that Sodium alone is too corrosive on faucets and fittings to justify use. However, we do blend potassium and sodium hydroxide solutions with a number of surfacing and chelating agents in order to take advantage of the added alkalinity of sodium hydroxide, yet maintain many of the benefits of a primary potassium hydroxide solution.
