What are drip trays or splash guards used for?       The most common use of a drip tray or splash guard in a draft beer system is to catch the few drops of beer which drip from the faucet after a beer is poured. If foam is causing the need for a drip tray then you should contact the KegMan for help - you are wasting beer. Some drip trays hold the beer drops until they are emptied and others, usually those in commercial bars, pubs, restaurants, and taverns divert the wasted beer away into a drain or large reservoir. There are basically six types of drip trays used in the draft beer business. These trays come in PVD Brass with a S/S base and all stainless steel.
Note:
  • All of our brass drip trays are made of PVD Brass coated stainless steel top grates and screens so they will never tarnish or need polishing. The bases are polished stainless steel which are not PVD coated. For example, a brass beveled edge drip tray will have a PVD coated top grate but the bevel edge will be in polished stainless steel not PVD brass. This will provide you with the best non tarnishing brass tray without the hassle of constant polishing.
  • All drip trays marked Special Order will probably be in stock at one of our manufacturers but one you order them and they are shipped a special order item cannot be returned except for damage or defect.

5" Wide Surface Mount Drip Trays

8811		         The surface mount drip tray sets on top of a bar and has a top height of about ¾" above the bars surface. They are held in place by the drain tube and nut. It is the easiest of the drip trays to install. All it takes is a 7/8" drill and an adjustable wrench. It interfaces with a drain whole cut into the bar to accommodate the drain nipple and nut on the bottom of the tray as its attachment to the bar.

        All surface mount drip trays except for 12" Stainless steel ones are special order items and may not be available for overnight or second day delivery. Please allow a few extra days when ordering these items. Special order for these drip trays indicated we do not stock them - they are shipped from our supplier and they may be in their stock but we will not know till we order one.

        All Surface Mount drip trays includes (except as noted) a 3" drain pipe with nut and will mate with ½" I.D. drain hose.

The Flush Mount drip tray fits into a recess cut into the bar so that only its thin brass or SS flange appear above the bar's surface. The flush mount type should only be considered if you have an experienced wood worker or stone mason available. All flush mount drip trays include a pipe thread drain nipple (1¾" x ½" N.P.T.) The Beveled Edge drip tray, like the surface mount drip tray, sets above the surface of the bar but has a beveled edge to make it better incorporate with the bars contour. This tray is our most popular and easily attaches to the bar's surface by its drain tube which is fastened on the underside of the bar with the supplied nut.

European Platform Drip Trays

          The platform trays are specially designed for the ice cobra tower but will work well with any cobra tower or 3" or 4" Column Tower.

          These come with no tower holes. Your installer must drill cobra mounting hole in drip tray - they come un drilled.

          If you require us to drill hole(s) they will be $47.00 per hole.

          A ½" lip around the perimeter of these trays prevents water damage to the bar top. Available with or without the glass rinser.

          All trays are surface mount and come with a drain.

Conversion Kit Drip Trays

These drip trays are used for mounting to refrigerator sides and doors with Refrigerator Conversion Kit. They attachment by two sheet metal screws thru their chrome frame. These drip trays have no drain - they are dumped by hand.
